Lawrenceburg Man Follows Grill Thief

   Authorities report that a stolen barbeque grill was recovered last week after the owner followed the alleged thief and summoned law enforcement officials to the address.

   The thirty-two-year-old victim reported the incident on Tuesday through the Lawrenceburg Police Department.

   Officers dispatched on the theft call were informed through Central Dispatch that the victim was following the suspect.

   Officers report that the victim’s grill was found at 405 Torges Street. Officers report making contact with forty-eight-year-old Ricky Gene Alexander of 1012 Smith Avenue. According to reports, Alexander admitted he had taken the grill.

   Alexander was subsequently placed under arrest on charges of theft. He is scheduled to answer the charge through Lawrence County General Sessions Court on July 13.
